The National Center for Credibility Assessment (NCCA), formally known as the Department of Defense Polygraph Institute, was relocated from Fort McClellan, Alabama, to Fort Jackson, South Carolina when Fort McClellan closed in September 1999. NCCA is the federal center for credibility assessment education, oversight, research and development. NCCA supports 28 Department of Defense and federal agencies in addition to warfighter elements.
